Many don’t realise just how important it is to build a successful personal brand in today’s world, especially with the massive changes that are taking place in the economy and the rapid advances in digital technology and the internet. Personal Branding is not just some fancy terminology that only applies to those in marketing or social media though, but something people in almost every walk of life and industry should be thinking about.
Just think for example that there are doctors who have built a personal brand with millions of followers, leading to massive success in their career and you might reconsider your reluctance to focus on building your personal brand.
It is especially important to spend some time on your personal brand if you are working with the public, in which you need to build up a position of trust, such as those working within the Travel & Tourism Industry or Real Estate Industry. The bottom line is that how people perceive you online is becoming just as important as how they perceive you in person, as much of today’s business is now conducted online.
More and more people are starting to take notice of this need to develop a successful personal brand to project themselves online to the public, including here in Tenerife in the Canary Islands which we might add is about time!
This week the Canary PR team (John Beckley, Kate aka The Italian Chica and myself) had a very successful Personal Branding Course at the beautiful Hotel Suite Villa Maria here in the South of Tenerife.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone that attended the course, we hope that you learned a lot and had some fun along the way. While of course our aim is to help you all succeed with building your personal brands in order for you to be able to grow your businesses, as we said it’s important to add some personality and not be too straight-laced 😉
We would also like to give a big thanks to Nathalie Hill for helping with the organisation of the day, and all the team at Hotel Suite Villa Maria for all the excellent service. Our lunch was delicious so big compliments to the chef!
We have begun planning our next course that we will announce soon, but in the meantime make sure to follow Canary PR and our team on social media to keep up to date with all of our tips, opinions and inside knowledge on Digital Marketing, including social media, film-making, photography, copywriting, personal branding and much more.
