Hotel Sir Anthony Gives A Five Star Welcome

With it’s beachfront location at Playa El Camison, Las Americas and 70 luxurious rooms, the Hotel Sir Anthony is worth making a song and dance about. That’s just what they did at their official inauguration to toast the recent refurbishment.

Part of the stylish Mare Nostrum Resort, Sir Anthony can offer eight different types of room to meet your needs, all of them with the charm and sensitivity that is the hallmark of this group. The modern compact rooms have tv, bars and top class bathrooms, all designed to maximise comfort and efficiency. For that added touch of luxury the rooms at the top even have a jucuzzi on the roof terrace.

At the inauguration the views from the balconies not only took in the sea view but also looked down onto a garden party with a live jazz group. The swimming pool make a great focal point and the bright and airy Windsor restaurant looked out onto the leafy shade.

A star in it’s own right, Hotel Sir Anthony has easy access to the amazing facilities of the Mare Nostrum Resort like the large theatre. Staff have never been so versatile and talented as those at the resort, around 60 of them put on a stunning musical whirlwind called Rock History that had the audience enthralled for 90 minutes. A great way to say welcome back to Hotel Sir Anthony.

Pirate FM Sails Into Tenerife Waters

In a musical melting pot like Tenerife there is always room for new sounds and sailing over the horizon we have the new radio station Pirate FM with its treasure chest of classic rock.

Managers Paul Graham and Dave West have spotted a gap in the Tenerife market and along with their fellow presenters are already serving up classic rock to the west and south coasts. Both have a wide background in radio, between them they have been at more stations than Thomas the Tank Engine, and worked together at Radio Caroline. Paul can also include Radio Leicester, Invicta Radio and even Radio Latvia among his stops, while Dave can add Swansea Sound and Radio Northsea.

Completing the team is Head of Sales and Marketing Clare Harper, she has swapped 7 years of island life in Jersey for Tenerife. Also with a vast experience of commercial radio, Clare worked with Channel 103 Radio in Jersey. With the volcanic dust delaying Paul and Dave for the launch party at El Faro in Costa Adeje, Clare fronted the evening. It takes a lot to phase Clare, she started out with a keen interest in drama and has appeared in Holby City and in some pop promos.

Keep both ears open for the Pirate FM sound on 88.6 FM and 99.7 FM. For a full programme schedule and contact details call up the website at www.piratefm.biz Welcome aboard.

The grape vines grow in volcanic soil in the south of Tenerife from an altitude of 150 metres up to 1,600 metres.
