Tenerife Ladies Open Golf 2010 heads to Buenavista

Building on the success of last years event at Golf Costa Adeje, the 2010 Tenerife Ladies Open  has all the ingredients to push this European Tour meeting to even greater heights. When the action starts on July 1 for four days of top competition the eyes of the worlds media will see a different face of Tenerife, the rugged natural beauty of the north west at Buenavista Golf.

Last years winner Felicity Johnson is expected back to defend her crown and the Birmingham player will look forward to renewing her rivalry with runner up Becky Brewerton from Wales. Felicity made a late charge after lagging behind and clinched the title at the 18th hole to finish 14 under par. The 22 year old winner was very impressed with Tenerife, just wait till the contestants get a glimpse of the Teno mountains and wild coastline that makes Buenavista such a scenic gem.

The visiting media, players and officials will be able to check out the new 5 star Buenavista Golf and Spa Hotel at the course, and the lush green walks will no doubt attract new interest from future holiday makers wanting to sample the north of Tenerife. The players will have their eyes set on a share of the 275,000 euros prize money.
